In a process of innovation and improvement, Aqua Ray decided to update the technical base of STAR, by abandoning OpenIO in favor of Ceph. This choice was motivated in particular by the fact that publisher support had been discontinued since the OpenIO technology was bought by OVH; also, because, among Ceph's functionalities, there is block and file storage which opens up new future perspectives for Aqua Ray.
