Evoliz: VPS, dedicated servers, shared hosting and managed services

Triiptic, a company specialized in software publishing, has created in 2011 an invoicing and management software : Evoliz. This tool enables managers of VSEs and SMEs to manage their sales, purchases and synchronize their bank in order to obtain real-time statistics on their entire activity (turnover evolution, VAT details, profitable products...), while allowing them to benefit from considerable time savings on the collection, entry and pointing of information

100% French expertise, Evoliz has been combining innovation and security for 10 years, notably with its "anti-fraud to VAT" certification. With its invoicing and commercial management functionalities, Evoliz supports its customers in their administrative management by offering ergonomic, simple and intuitive software to automate their statistical reports and bookkeeping.

Since the creation of Evoliz, Triiptic has been looking for a hosting service combined with managed services, to ensure continuous maintenance of their machines. As their software is an indispensable management tool for their customers, the company expects a quality service and a present and efficient customer relationship.

After going through different hosting providers, Evoliz finally turned to Aqua Ray 7 years ago.

When they arrived at Aqua Ray, Triiptic had 2 Managed Virtual Machines (LAMPs), which independently hosted the Evoliz services.

As their application evolves, the infrastructure expands and today includes:

Five virtual machines enabling them to host the CloudExpert (Evoliz white-label software) and Evoliz services, as well as their programming interface (API), services for their applications and a front-end reverse-proxy to distribute requests from other VMs.

Evoliz has a physical machine that can store production data from their virtual machines.

A master-slave infrastructure manages the production databases. The master-slave configuration consists of a read-write server accessible by the application, the master, and a read-only server, the slave. Each request executed on the master is replayed identically on the slave, in order to have a second copy of the data available in case of an unrecoverable problem on the master. This also allows regular backups to be performed without pausing database use, because the application only interacts with the master server.

A physical server hosts an OCR application for the description of metadata.

Evoliz has two independent applications for which we provide them with two other virtual machines.

The needs can be summarized as follows: access to several mailboxes with a large storage capacity. So we used a dedicated mail service and several shared messaging services Aqua Mail to meet these needs.

The Web-Storage-BDD infrastructure thus hosts the Evoliz application and its white label variant for many users every day.
In order to move towards a more up-to-date environment, both on the server side and the application side, we regularly update infrastructure elements such as Web machines.

Within the framework of outsourcing, we monitor each of these services 24/7, and guarantee a recovery within 4 hours in the event of a breakdown. All data and infrastructure configurations are backed up every day, ensuring that we can restore lost data very quickly.
In addition to these backups, a snapshot of each virtual machine is made regularly.
